One more autumn, Pa-ta-ta Festival returns to Granada

After last year’s experience we were left with a very clear feeling: we wanted Pa-ta-ta to continue to be part of Granada.

The festival’s comeback reminded us of something important: that there is still a need for spaces where people can connect around photography, share creative processes, show their work, ask questions and meet others with similar interests and concerns. Over those few days, the city was once again filled with images, conversations and shared projects, and we confirmed that it made sense to reopen this space. That’s why Pa-ta-ta Festival is returning this coming September.

We are back and really excited to continue supporting approaches to photography that are connected to the local area, to people, and to the stories that shape our present. We maintain our belief in photography as a tool for creating bonds, sparking conversations and seeing the world from different perspectives.

This year we will hold different events aimed at a variety of profiles. We carry on supporting projects with social impact, and initiatives that take a collective and community-based approach. As always, we root for the professionalization of photography by accompanying photographers in the development of their projects and careers. Among the many activities that we will soon announce, we are still working with Granada’s districts, using photography as a tool for transformation.

Because we believe in photography that connects, raises questions and builds networks. Photography reaches out to people and understands culture as something alive, shared and accessible.

Pa-ta-ta keeps growing, guided by the same values that have characterised it from the very beginning: openness, professionalism, participation, collective creation, social commitment and a deep-rooted connection to the local area. But also the certainty that cultural spaces need continuity in order to continue building community.
