During the day on Saturday, the artists will share their projects and creative processes with industry professionals, generating a space for meeting, dialogue, and exchange around contemporary photographic creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Later, the winning individual will have the opportunity to participate in a<strong> decentralized cultural circuit<\/strong>: a tour of festivals and spaces dedicated to photography that seeks to bring this discipline to new territories and audiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-2a532f144617abb90e05fb8a558a3c2b\"><strong>Ignacio Navas &#8211; <em>KICKFLIP<\/em><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Ignacio develops interactive and computational projects based on photographic imagery. As in many Spanish families, silence was established among their relatives, teaching them to see, remain silent, and not to ask.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">They grew up with the grandmother&#8217;s weeping, which evoked her childhood amidst a path filled with corpses. Decades passed before discovering that those sentences referred to the exodus known as \u201c<strong><em>la desband\u00e1\u201d<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Cuando se acaba el d\u00eda <\/em><\/strong>seeks to recover the memory of <strong>one of the bloodiest episodes of the Spanish Civil War that occurred on the road from M\u00e1laga to Almer\u00eda<\/strong>, through the testimony of survivors and their families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">The portraits <strong>converse with archival images and snapshots of a coastline mistreated<\/strong> by tourism, rampant construction, and greenhouses. Northwest wind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">The wind observes the embrace of the giants: The Atlantic and Cantabrian seas meet every moment in an epic and transformative dialogue. Both strike forcefully against the cliffs in an unyielding murmur, an intense, constant, and eternal chant that resonates from the origins of memory, ours and that of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">This wind shapes a <strong>distinct character and imbues beings with its continuous presence<\/strong>, conditioning the course of lives and moments. A drizzle accompanied by the rhythmic sound of metals on the masts and the murmur of the pines forms the idiosyncrasy of a unique land.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">In it lies the yin and the yang, the good and the bad. Far from approaching it as a tragic deficiency, this project approaches it from an artistic and perceptual perspective. I am interested in how the lack of a sense can open new ways of seeing, feeling, and representing. Photography allows me to translate the intangible, that which escapes verbal language but can be suggested visually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">In <strong><em>Nenita<\/em><\/strong>, I work with images that evoke the organic, the uncertain, that which is present but cannot be named.
